Carla Peterson, born in Córdoba in 1974, is an Argentine actress who became known for her striking presence in film and television. Since the early 2000s, she has been one of the most important faces of Argentine TV fiction and has also established herself in film. Her roles shift confidently between romantic comedy, ensemble drama, and modern everyday observations, always carried by a playful yet precise tone. In the film MEDIANERAS (2011, directed by Gustavo Taretto), Peterson plays the role of Marcela. The urban view of loneliness, architecture, and chance encounters provides her with a pointed character that noticeably expands the main characters' world. As a film actress, she subsequently appeared in 2+2 (2012), a popular relationship comedy that highlights her comedic confidence and timing. A core part of her profile lies in television. With the title role in Lalola, she became popular beyond Argentina and received the Martín Fierro for Best Actress in a Comedy Series and the Clarín Award for Best Comedy Actress. Later successful series such as Los exitosos Pells, Guapas, and 100 días para enamorarse cemented her status; she again won Martín Fierro awards for Best Actress for these productions. This string of successes and awards makes her one of the most consistently important actresses in modern Argentine film and television.
