David Sievekind, young filmmaker, is in search of inspiration. He meets David Lynch, who assures him that the meditation TM is the key to success. But, is it 'the way'?

For Sieveking, a dream comes true when he meets the legendary David Lynch at a workshop in the spring of 2006. There, Lynch gives a lecture on the sources of his creativity, in particular Transcendental Meditation (TM). Fascinated by what he hears about Transcendental Meditation, Sieveking becomes a pilgrim of the TM movement. But the organization has him watched because he gets too close to some of its secrets. His journey, which began with a search for inner peace and transcendental meditation, soon turns into a conflict with the darker sides of the movement. When David Lynch finally threatens Sieveking with a lawsuit, his inner peace is gone.
