Katrin Pollitt was born on October 27, 1966, in Kiel and studied acting at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater from 1988 to 1992. Her career began in the late 1990s and she has since appeared in numerous television films and series, including K3 – Kripo Hamburg, SOKO Leipzig, and Wilsberg. From 2005 to 2013, she had a recurring role in the ARD series Der Dicke, which she continued in the follow-up series Die Kanzlei from 2015 onwards. She is also present in cinema. She appeared as a doctor in Eine andere Liga (2005, directed by Buket Alakuş) and as a chambermaid in Die Gräfin (2009, directed by Julie Delpy). Particularly noteworthy is her performance in the 2016 drama DIE HÄNDE MEINER MUTTER, directed by Florian Eichinger, in which she played the role of Renate, the mother. This project also allowed her to make a strong mark in the arthouse sector. With her repertoire ranging from television dramas and popular series to sophisticated cinema, Katrin Pollitt demonstrates remarkable versatility and consistency in German-language film and television.
