The Französische Filmtage is the largest annual French film festival in Germany.
It builds cultural bridges between Germany and France. The festival has established itself as a platform for mainly young, undiscovered French cinema and thus also approaches contemporary filmic discourse in French society. In the words of festival director Christopher Buchholz: "The festival, for me, is like inviting good friends home and promising them that they will enjoy inspiring discussions, eat good food and meet many interesting people - core attributes of Francophone culture."
