Dominick Brassan can make himself invisible, but he rarely uses this ability. He is ashamed of it and even keeps it a secret from his fiancée. As a child, his invisibility served him well for playing pranks. As an adult, he longs for normality. But when his ability to control his gift spirals out of control, his life, friendships, and relationships are turned upside down forever. BLIND SPOT (original title: L'ANGLE MORT) uses elements of drama and fantasy without falling into superhero clichés. The 2019 French film was shown at the Festival de Cannes as part of ACID. Further festival screenings followed at the Champs-Élysées Film Festival and in the Crossing Europe program. It was directed by Pierre Trividic and Patrick Mario Bernard. The film deals with identity, invisibility, and emotional distance in everyday urban scenes. The documentary-style minimalism supports the portrayal of inner conflicts without resorting to grand narrative arcs or artificial suspense. The result is a detached reflection on the everyday life of a person who remains invisible even when surrounded by others.
