Kiriana Stanton

New Zealand filmmaker Kiriana Stanton is of Māori (Ngāti Hauā, Ngāti Hine) and Pākehā descent and graduated from Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School. Her work often focuses on short films, including "Marumaru" (2019) and "Our Tides" (2023). Both films premiered at the New Zealand International Film Festival. Her most recent work, "Āio", was selected for the Generation Kplus program at the 2024 Berlin International Film Festival. Stanton works as a director and screenwriter.
