Melihate Qena (1948–2022) was a formative Kosovar actor with a long career in theatre, film, and television. She began her artistic journey at the National Theatre of Kosovo in Pristina, where she participated in numerous productions. Her roles in award-winning films brought her international attention. She appeared in the Oscar-nominated short film "Shok" (2015) and the drama "Vera Dreams of the Sea" (2021), which premiered at the Venice Film Festival. Her performances significantly contributed to the visibility of Kosovar cinema.
