Spanish filmmaker Nacho Vigalondo, born in 1977, first gained international attention with his short film *7:35 de la mañana* (2003), which earned him an Oscar nomination. His feature debut, the science-fiction thriller *Los Cronocrímenes* (Timecrimes, 2007), won awards at festivals such as the Austin Fantastic Fest and was nominated for a Goya Award. Vigalondo's work often combines elements of genre cinema with dark humor. Among his better-known international productions is *Colossal* (2016), starring Anne Hathaway. In addition to his work as a director and screenwriter, he also regularly appears as an actor.
