Ronen Rubinstein, born on November 7, 1993, in Rehovot, Israel, is an American actor and musician known for his precise role selection and versatility. After moving to the US, he grew up in Staten Island and completed an acting program at the New York Film Academy. He made his film debut in It Felt Like Love (2013, directed by Eliza Hittman). Rubinstein plays Sammy, an older boy who increasingly controls the female lead character over the summer – an impressive portrayal of an archetypal teenage boy in the coming-of-age drama, which was shown at festivals internationally. He achieved his breakthrough on US television with the role of firefighter TK Strand in the hit series 9-1-1: Lone Star (since 2020), one of the most popular FOX series of recent years. Prior to that, he appeared in episodic roles and series appearances, such as Nathan in Orange Is the New Black (season 3, 2015) and Alex Powell in Dead of Summer (2016). He has also appeared in genre films such as Condemned (2015), Some Kind of Hate (2015), Jamie Marks Is Dead (2014), and Smartass (2017).
