Sammy Scheuritzel is a German actor from Berlin who has been in front of the camera since childhood and works in film and television productions. He first gained recognition in 2009 as Würgen in the movie “Wickie und die starken Männer” before appearing in other children's and youth programs. With the soccer story “Teufelskicker” (2010, directed by Granz Henman) and the novel adaptation ‘Tschick’ (2016, directed by Fatih Akin), Scheuritzel was represented early on in popular coming-of-age stories. At the same time, he appeared in TV series such as “SOKO Leipzig,” “Der Kriminalist” and the internationally acclaimed mystery series “Dark,” thereby expanding his presence in the series sector. A central chapter in his work is the short film “Was ich dir noch sagen wollte” (2017), for which Scheuritzel was nominated for Best Young Actor at the Max Ophüls Prize Film Festival. He later took on the role of Sascha in the cinema drama NACKTE TIERE (2020, directed by Melanie Waelde), an intensely told portrait of youth. He plays further central roles in the Netflix thriller “Schwarze Insel” (2021, directed by Miguel Alexandre) and in the miniseries “Legend of Wacken” (2023, directed by Lars Jessen and Jonas Grosch). Sammy Scheuritzel was nominated for the German Television Award in the Best Actor category in 2024 for “Legend of Wacken”; he also appears in current productions such as “Player of Ibiza” and new episodes of “Tatort.”
