Stefano Accorsi

Born in Bologna in 1971, actor Stefano Accorsi trained at the local theatre school and has established himself as one of the most prominent performers in Italian cinema since the 1990s. He had his breakthrough with Luciano Ligabue's film *Radiofreccia* (1998), a role that earned him the David di Donatello for Best Actor. For his performance in *A Journey Called Love*, he was awarded the Volpi Cup at the 2002 Venice International Film Festival. His diverse body of work also includes collaborations with Ferzan Özpetek such as *The Ignorant Fairies* (2001), the successful television series *1992*, and more recent film productions like *Italian Race* (2016) and Michael Mann's film *Ferrari* (2023).
