Tahar Rahim

Actor

French actor Tahar Rahim, born in Belfort in 1981, gained international recognition for his lead role in Jacques Audiard's film *A Prophet* (2009). For this performance, he was awarded two César Awards in 2010, for Best Actor and Most Promising Actor. His versatile career has since included numerous French and international productions. For his portrayal of Mohamedou Ould Slahi in *The Mauritanian* (2021), he received nominations for both a Golden Globe and a BAFTA Award. More recently, he appeared in Ridley Scott's historical film *Napoleon* (2023) and the superhero movie *Madame Web* (2024).
