Khibula

Georgia 1991: The president, his prime minister and four armed followers flee into the mountains after a military coup. The group tries to escape their invisible pursuers by constantly changing their location. In doing so, they are exposed to constant psychological pressure. On their way, the president hears a rumor of loyal troops waiting for him to start a partisan battle to help him back to power. After arduous and dangerous adventures, however, the president realizes that everything is coming to a fatal end. Now he has the choice of what this end should look like. The screenplay for KHIBULA was inspired by the real events that took place in Georgia shortly after the country regained its independence in 1991.
