ActorBorn in Iran in 1993, filmmaker Afsun Moshiry has been studying directing at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf since 2018. Her cinematic works often explore themes of identity and belonging. Her short fiction film 'Rakete' (Rocket) premiered at the 2023 Max Ophüls Preis film festival and earned her a nomination for the prestigious FIRST STEPS Award for new talent. Her other works include the short documentary 'Klassentreffen' (Class Reunion, 2021).
