Aleksey Igudesman

Aleksey Igudesman, born in Leningrad in 1973, is a versatile artist active as a musician, composer, and filmmaker. He made his documentary directorial debut with *Noseland* (2012), a humorous look at the world of classical music featuring figures like John Malkovich and Roger Moore. For this film, he received the “Most Entertaining Documentary” award at the DocMiami International Film Festival. He also created and directed the television series *Du bist Künstler* for the broadcaster ServusTV. In addition to his cinematic work, Igudesman is internationally known primarily for his musical projects, often as a duo with pianist Hyung-ki Joo.
