Alexe Poukine

Director
French-born filmmaker Alexe Poukine, who lives and works in Brussels, studied directing at the Belgian Institut des Arts de Diffusion (IAD). Her work often operates at the intersection of documentary and fiction, exploring intimate social themes. She gained international recognition with her feature debut *Sans frapper* (That Which Does Not Kill, 2019), which addresses the aftermath of sexual violence and premiered in the Berlinale's Forum section. For this film, she received numerous awards, including the Grand Prize of the International Competition at FIDMarseille.
