Ana Laguna

Ana Laguna is a prominent Spanish-Swedish ballet dancer, not primarily known as an actor or director. Born in Zaragoza, Spain, in 1954, Laguna is celebrated for her significant contributions to ballet. She trained in Spain and later with the Royal Swedish Ballet. Over her illustrious career, Laguna has been a principal dancer with the Cullberg Ballet and has collaborated closely with choreographer Mats Ek. Some of her notable performances include roles in "Giselle," "Carmen," and "Swan Lake," reinterpreted by Ek. Ana Laguna has received numerous accolades, including the prestigious Prix Benois de la Danse in 1990 and the Litteris et Artibus medal in 2006, honoring her impact on the performing arts.
