Andrzej Chyra

Andrzej Chyra is a renowned Polish actor, known for his compelling performances in both film and theater. Chyra graduated from the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw, and he began his career in the early 1990s. He rose to prominence with the film "The Debt" (1999), directed by Krzysztof Krauze, where he delivered an intense performance that earned him the Best Actor Award at the Polish Film Awards. Chyra continued to build his career with notable roles in films such as "Symmetry" (2003), "Persona Non Grata" (2005), and "All That I Love" (2009). He also starred in the critically acclaimed "In the Name Of" (2013), directed by Małgorzata Szumowska, which won a Teddy Award at the Berlin International Film Festival. In addition to his film work, Chyra has had a strong presence in Polish theater, where he has been praised for his versatility and depth as an actor.
