Anne Wiazemsky
ActorAnne Wiazemsky was a French actress, novelist, and filmmaker, born on May 14, 1947, and passed away on October 5, 2017. She began her film career at the age of 18 with a major role in Robert Bresson's "Au Hasard Balthazar" (1966), which is now considered a classic of French cinema. She became a muse and collaborator for director Jean-Luc Godard, whom she married in 1967. Wiazemsky appeared in several of Godard’s films during this period, including "La Chinoise" (1967) and "Week End" (1967).
In addition to her successful acting career, Wiazemsky was also a celebrated author. She wrote numerous novels, many of which were autobiographical in nature, reflecting on her experiences in the film industry and her personal life. Her literary works received critical acclaim, with "Jeune Fille" (2007) being among her notable books.
Wiazemsky's contributions to film and literature were recognized with several awards throughout her career. For her acting, she received praise but did not collect a significant number of the traditional cinema awards.
