Calvin Tuteao is a New Zealand actor known for his work in television and film. He has played a wide range of characters throughout his career, which began in the late 1980s. Tuteao is perhaps best known for his role as Dr. Victor Kahu in the popular New Zealand soap opera "Shortland Street," where he was a cast member from 1995 to 2001. He also appeared in the film "Once Were Warriors" (1994), a critically acclaimed drama that focused on a Maori family in urban New Zealand. Additionally, Tuteao had a role in the TV series "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" and its sister show "Xena: Warrior Princess." Despite his notable contributions to New Zealand television and film, he has not received any major international awards.
