Count Ossie Drummers

Count Ossie, born Oswald Williams in 1926 in Jamaica, was not an actor or director but a renowned musician and pioneer of the Rastafarian movement in music. He was a master drummer and band leader known for blending traditional African drumming with Jamaican rhythms, and he had a significant influence on the development of ska, rocksteady, and reggae music. Count Ossie and his group, The Mystic Revelation of Rastafari, released influential albums such as "Grounation" (1973), which is considered a cornerstone in Jamaican music. Despite his profound impact on music culture, he did not receive any major film awards. Count Ossie passed away in 1976, leaving a lasting legacy in the music world.
