Born in Barcelona in 1978, actor and director Daniel Brühl gained international recognition with his leading role in `Good Bye, Lenin!` (2003). For this performance, he was honored with accolades including the European Film Award. His versatile career includes numerous international productions, such as his portrayal of racing driver Niki Lauda in `Rush` (2013), which earned him Golden Globe and BAFTA Award nominations. His other significant works include the role of Zemo in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, his part in the multi-Oscar-winning film `All Quiet on the Western Front` (2022), and his directorial debut `Next Door`, which premiered in competition at the 2021 Berlinale.
