Eva Löbau
ActorEva Löbau was born on April 26, 1972, in Waiblingen and is an Austrian actress in German film and television, known for her versatility and strong character portrayals. She played a significant role in DIE HELDEN AUS DER NACHBARSCHAFT (2008/09, directed by Jovan Arsenić), an episodic film about quirky characters in Prenzlauer Berg, in which she plays the shy baker Rosine. In the romantic comedy BLIND UND HÄSSLICH (2017, directed by Tom Lass), she shines as therapist Frau Schopf, who accompanies the outsider Ferdi through his absurd life conflict. She took on another memorable role in THE AGE OF ELLEN (2010, directed by Pia Marais), a surreal psychological drama in which she plays Simone, a disoriented and fragile woman who loses herself in a midlife crisis. Eva Löbau is also known to TV audiences as an actress in episodes of “Tatort” (“Wem Ehre gebührt,” “Erntedank e.V.”) and in comedy formats such as “Hilfe! Hochzeit!” Her acting is both minimalist and profound, ranging from shyness to existential dissolution—an impressive range.
