Hubert Koundé

The French actor and filmmaker Hubert Koundé, born in 1970, gained international recognition for his powerful portrayal of Hubert in Mathieu Kassovitz's cult film "La haine" (1995). He had already received a César nomination for Most Promising Actor for his role in Kassovitz's earlier work, "Métisse" (1993). His career also led him to international productions, for instance appearing in the award-winning drama "The Constant Gardener" (2005). In addition to his work in front of the camera, Koundé also works as a director of short films.
