The North Macedonian film producer Irena Aliu graduated from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Skopje. In 2017, she founded her own production company, Circle Production. One of her most significant projects is the feature film “Në kërkim të Venerës” (Looking for Venera, 2021), which was awarded the Special Jury Award at the International Film Festival Rotterdam. For her work, the European Film Promotion selected Aliu as a “Producer on the Move” in 2021. Her portfolio also includes the short film “Ajo” (Her, 2018).
