Iris Berben has been one of the most influential figures in German film and television for decades. Her career began in the late 1960s, before she became familiar to millions of viewers in the 1970s and 1980s with productions such as “Zwei himmlische Töchter” (Two Heavenly Daughters) and the comedy series “Sketchup.” Another milestone was the ZDF crime series “Rosa Roth,” in which she played the title role of the police inspector from 1994 to 2013 and established herself as a serious character actress. Berben also enjoyed great success on the big screen. In ALKI ALKI (2015, directed by Axel Ranisch), she took on the role of Hanna's mother and once again demonstrated her versatility.
