Karsten Antonio Mielke

Karsten Antonio Mielke is a film and television actor born in Brazil and raised in Germany who has established himself with striking character roles in cinema, crime series, and TV series. After training as an actor in London and continuing his work at Actors Space Berlin, he has been appearing regularly in front of the camera since the late 2000s, working with directors from German auteur cinema and international productions. A central work in his filmography is DIE TOCHTER (The Daughter) from 2017, directed by Mascha Schilinski. In this intimate drama, Mielke plays Jimmy, a father who returns to a Greek island with his estranged partner and their daughter to make a new start. The film was screened in competition at the Berlinale, where it was nominated for the Best First Feature Film award.
