Ludivine Sagnier, born on July 3, 1979, in La Celle-Saint-Cloud, France, is a renowned French actress known for her arthouse and international work. She first appeared on camera at the age of around ten, and her breakthrough came with François Ozon's ensemble film 8 Women (2002, directed by François Ozon) and the psychological thriller Swimming Pool (2003, directed by François Ozon). In INTO DAD'S WOODS (original title: La Forêt de mon père, 2019/2020, directed by Véro Cratzborn), she plays Carole, the mother in this sensitive drama about a family on the brink of collapse, in which a 15-year-old girl tries to save her mentally unstable father. In A SECRET (Un secret, 2007, directed by Claude Miller), she plays Hannah, the father's first wife, in this moving family drama about a long-kept secret from the Holocaust. Her other notable films include Vero: A Girl Cut in Two (2007, directed by Claude Chabrol) and Barefoot on Slugs (Pieds nus sur les limaces, 2010, directed by Fabienne Berthaud).
