The performer Lukas Turtur, born in Schwelm in 1984, completed his training at the University of Music and Theatre in Leipzig. Since the 2013/14 season, he has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, where he was honored with the Rolf Mares Prize in 2014. He became known to a wider audience through roles in cinema productions such as "Labyrinth of Lies" (2014) and "The People vs. Fritz Bauer" (2015). His other engagements include appearances in the series "Dark" (2017) and the film "A Million Minutes" (2024). For his performance in the television film "Schmutzige Hände", he received the German Screen Actors Award in 2016.
