Lydie Kasongo, born in 1993, is an actor and filmmaker based in Germany. She completed her acting studies at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf. In addition to her work in theater, she regularly appears in television productions, including the series *Letzte Spur Berlin* (2023) and *SOKO Leipzig* (2022). In 2024, she made her directorial debut with *Schwarze Früchte* (Black Fruits). The film, for which she also wrote the screenplay, premiered in the Berlinale's Forum Expanded section and was nominated for awards including the Kompagnon-Förderpreis.
