Mariano Rigillo

Born in Naples in 1939, actor Mariano Rigillo graduated from the Accademia Nazionale d'Arte Drammatica. His career has unfolded on the theater stage as well as in numerous film and television productions, where he collaborated with renowned filmmakers. Among his most well-known screen appearances are films like *The Postman* (Il postino, 1994) and *The Stolen Children* (Il ladro di bambini, 1992). For his performance in the latter, he was awarded the Nastro d'Argento for Best Supporting Actor. In 2011, Rigillo also received a David di Donatello for his role in *Il primo incarico*. His extensive filmography includes more recent works such as Matteo Garrone's *Pinocchio* (2019).
