Marie Tragousti
ActorMarie Tragousti is one of the most exciting voices in young German cinema. The actress impresses with her intense presence and her ability to subtly convey emotional tension. She made her breakthrough in 2020 in NACKTE TIERE (Naked Animals), directed by Melanie Waelde. The coming-of-age drama about five teenagers in a small town in Brandenburg premiered at the Berlinale and won numerous awards, including the German Film Critics' Award for Best Feature Film Debut. Tragousti's precise, almost documentary-like performance played a decisive role in the film being perceived as an impressive portrait of a generation.
With ABENDLAND, directed by Omer Fast and released in 2023, Tragousti continues her journey into unconventional material.
