Mélissa Désormeaux-Poulin

Canadian actor Mélissa Désormeaux-Poulin, born in 1981, has been active in the film and television business since her childhood. She gained international recognition for her powerful performance as Jeanne Marwan in Denis Villeneuve's Oscar-nominated drama "Incendies" (2010), for which she received a Genie Award nomination. Her body of work also includes important roles such as in the award-winning film "Gabrielle" (2013) by Louise Archambault. In her native Quebec, she is particularly known for her leading role as lawyer Ariane Beaumont in the successful series "Ruptures" (2016–2019), which earned her several audience awards.
