Oliver Korittke

Oliver Korittke, born in Berlin in 1968, has been one of the most distinctive actors in German film and television for decades. He appeared in television productions as a child and has built an impressive career since the 1990s. He is best known to millions of viewers as Ekkehardt Talkötter in the ZDF series “Wilsberg,” in which he has appeared regularly since 1997 and for which he received the German Acting Award together with the ensemble in 2017. He has demonstrated his versatility in numerous cinema hits. In “Bang Boom Bang” (1999, directed by Peter Thorwarth), he played one of the defining characters in the Ruhrpott gangster comedy, which has long since achieved cult status. He also impressed with his comedic timing in “Was nicht passt, wird passend gemacht” (2002, directed by Peter Thorwarth), contributing to the success of the popular construction worker comedy. His other well-known works include “Manta, Manta” (1991, directed by Wolfgang Büld) and “Das Wunder von Bern” (2003, directed by Sönke Wortmann). Another chapter in his career is challenging independent productions. In ALKI ALKI (2015, directed by Axel Ranisch), he was part of the cast of a tragicomedy about addiction and friendship. He also played an important supporting role in the thriller NEBEN DER SPUR (2007, directed by Detlef Bothe). These engagements complement his wide-ranging repertoire between mainstream cinema and arthouse films. Oliver Korittke has received the Adolf Grimme Prize and the German Comedy Prize, among others, for his work. With his long-standing presence in film and television, from cult comedies to serious character roles, he has established himself as a fixture in German entertainment cinema and remains an unmistakable figure in the German acting scene.
