Vela Ramamoorthy

Indian writer and actor Vela Ramamoorthy initially began his artistic career as an author of novels and short stories. He made his debut as a performer in Tamil cinema later in life, where he quickly made a name for himself. He gained particular attention for his poignant portrayals of antagonists and strong supporting characters, for instance in the films *Madha Yaanai Koottam* (2013) and *Sethupathi* (2016). For his role in *Sethupathi*, he was honored with the Vikatan Award for Best Villain. His portfolio also includes acclaimed productions such as *Kidaari* (2016), *Asuran* (2019), and *Viduthalai Part 1* (2023), in which he demonstrates his acting versatility.
