Yumiko Itou
DirectorBorn in 1999, Japanese filmmaker Yumiko Itou works as an animation artist. She is completing her studies in animation at the graduate school of the Tokyo University of the Arts. With her animated short film "Why is the sea so blue." (2023), she gained international attention and was part of the official program of renowned festivals such as the Filmfestival Cottbus and the Ottawa International Animation Festival. Her earlier works, also created during her studies, include the film "At the Bottom" from 2022.
