How does it feel to place one's own fate in the hands of the strictly choreographed German bureaucracy? A story about the grind of examination and verifying. Those who identify themselves as asylum seekers in Brandenburg first come to the "Central Initial Admission Office" in Eisenhüttenstadt. Wasim from Syria, Mathew from Kenya and Gedeon from Cameroon are stranded in this unreal place in the absolute outskirts of the country. A snapshot of a life on hold, between hope and fear.
