Romanian writer-director Ioana Uricaru's feature debut, produced by Palme d'Or winner Cristian Mungiu, premiered in the Panorama section of Germany's largest film festival. This story, inspired by real events, reveals a true taste of the American Dream. While working in the US on a temporary visa as a nurse, Mara, a 30 year-old single mother from Romania, marries Daniel, an American. After the arrival of her son Dragos, everything seems to have fallen perfectly into place.
