17-year-old Richard voluntarily admits himself to a youth home to get out of his hated mother's house after his father's suicide - nominated for the Grimme Prize.

In the "Hahnhof" group home Richard meets a quirky group of young people, all of whom had early bad experiences and are now searching in one way or another for happiness. But Richard doesn't want anything to do with them. He's only interested in Kyra.
