Synopsis
Filmmaker Aslı Özarslan, who is the same age as Leyla, accompanies the ambitious candidate to a region that was de facto ruled by the Kurdish PKK in the 1990s and is still suffering from the consequences of the civil war. The documentary DIL LEYLA was nominated for the First Step Award and the Max Ophüls Prize.
