Synopsis
Dario, who was born in Ecuador, feels a connection with Germany not only through his love for his wife and child, but also by a long trail of visas, papers, stamps and permits.
And then this: The first mayor of Hamburg invites Dario to become a German citizen. A declaration of love? Darío answers it with a delicately ironic road movie that traces his tortuous path from the land of his fathers to the land of his children - a film about being - and becoming - German.
