Four people meet in an Istanbul neighborhood: a feminist artist, a mother whose son is in prison, a young dancer, and a shifty real estate henchman. Flourishing drug deals in the district lead to the crossing of paths. Dancer Didem has just lost her job. Mother Iffet gets involved in a shady deal to support her imprisoned son. Istanbul-born director Azra Deniz Okyay portrays a country in transition, where backward-looking politics hide behind new facades.
