How could the disappearance of a simple cat lead to the biggest financial crisis of all time? French documentary filmmaker Thomas Lafite set out to find an answer. His mockumentary explores one of the most incredible stories of the 21st century. Tony Shapiro, a lonely child, becomes a computer programmer but still has no friends. When he loses his whole family in an accident he becomes very depressed. Until, that is, the arrival of Marvin — an enormous Chinchilla Persian cat— who shows up on Tony’s sickbed. Tony adores Marvin and creates a blog that makes Marvin famous worldwide. The rest is stuff of cat legend.
