Monika

Monika has had limited vision since birth and takes care of her alcoholic mother. An eye operation is supposed to provide relief. However, this failed and Monika is now almost completely blind. While her mother is completely desperate and cannot cope with the situation, Monika regains her courage after the initial shock at a school for the blind. But her new independence is not to everyone's taste, especially not her mother's.
