A touching drama about a father who traces the footsteps of his deceased daughter through Marseille.

Synopsis

A father travels to Marseille, a city full of contrasts, to fill the void left by his daughter's death. Raoul, deeply affected by loss and guilt, embarks on an emotional exploration that leads him through the traces of her life. He meets her friends, joins the world of their band and even talks to her former dealer. In doing so, he tries to piece together the mosaic of memories, secrets and truths that his daughter left behind. The film moves between intimacy and urban wildness, captured in stunning images of Marseille that bring the city's contradictions to life. Raoul's search becomes not only a journey into his daughter's past, but also a confrontation with his own weaknesses and failures. The narrative structure breaks with convention and reflects the protagonist's inner turmoil, which is reinforced by Christophe Paou's haunting performance. The film was presented at the Cannes Film Festival in 2024 in the renowned ACID section and was celebrated by critics for its depth and unconventional approach. The skillful balance between dark, emotional themes and the vibrant energy of the city gives the film a special intensity. A story of loss, forgiveness and the search for meaning in the midst of chaos.
