Instantaneas

Twelve dialogues, conducted by twenty-four people, come together to form a fragmented picture of urban reality. With no clear beginning or end, they address communication deficits, individual routines, and the loss of personal time. The settings are the outskirts of a city, where information overload and accelerated everyday life leave little room for connection. The scenes do not follow a chronological order, but appear as random snapshots whose atmospheric density results from their everyday nature and situational isolation. The episodic structure rejects linear narration and focuses on observations about speechlessness, social inequalities, and interpersonal distances. The staging uses stylistic devices from drama and comedy without clearly assigning itself to any one genre. The fragmentary structure creates a mosaic that reveals the tension between individual perception and collective isolation. The film repeatedly resorts to reduced dialogue and subtle ironic breaks. INSTANTANEAS has been shown at numerous international festivals, including the Diorama International Film Festival, the LGTBQ Marseille Film Festival, and the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival. The film received the Special Jury Award at the Portugal International Film Festival and was awarded Second Prize for Best Film and Second Prize for Best Sound at the 12 Months Film Festival.
