Synopsis

Sofia, 16, and Axel have sex at a party. The next day a video of them is sent around their school. She and her friends go on a pursuit in order to find out who filmed. Ida, 14, meets a guy on Tinder. Later, she’s contacted by Jan, who tells her that a nude of her is posted on a closed forum. He can help her, but he wants something in return. Viktor, 18, is accused of child pornography because of a film he’s posted on Snapchat. He tries to get Miriam to drop the charges, but his actions have huge consequences. NUDES is an exciting teen drama told as an anthology series about 3 teenagers from different parts of Norway. They are in the midst of their very first life crises when their nudes are spread on social media. They struggle to handle the situation and to regain control of their own lives. The series seeks to raise teenagers' awareness of what nudes are and what they can do, both legally and interpersonally, should they experience the spread of intimate content of themselves or someone close to them. NUDES illuminates the consequences of careless decisions with haunting clarity. Directors Erika Calmeyer and Liv Joelle Barbosa Blad tell realistic stories of conflict without moralizing, focusing instead on the experiences of young people. The series shows how shame, fear, and loyalty struggle with each other and how important support becomes when intimate boundaries are publicly crossed. The result is a modern, unemotional portrayal that is consistently oriented toward real-life challenges.
