Born in Hamburg in 1989, filmmaker Jeyan Kader Gülşen initially worked as a journalist before turning to film. She completed her directing studies at the Hamburg Media School. Her graduation film, 'Route B' (2022), gained attention across several festivals. The work was screened in competition at the Max Ophüls Prize Film Festival in 2023 and was nominated for the FIRST STEPS Award in 2022.
