DirectorBorn in Berlin in 1993, director and screenwriter Liv Joelle Barbosa Blad studied at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB) from 2017 to 2023. She previously completed a degree in social and cultural anthropology. Her graduation film, "Herding" ("Schwarmtiere", 2022), gained significant recognition. It celebrated its premiere at the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival in the Perspektive Deutsches Kino section. The work was also nominated for the prestigious newcomer prize, the FIRST STEPS Award.
