Omer Fast

Director

Omer Fast, born in Jerusalem in 1972, is an Israeli video artist and filmmaker who lives and works in Berlin. His work frequently explores the mechanisms of memory and trauma, often blurring the lines between documentary and fiction. His feature film debut, "Remainder" (2015), was presented in sections such as the Panorama at the Berlinale. His other cinematic projects include "Continuity" (2016) and "Abendland" (2020). Fast has received multiple awards for his artistic work, including the Preis der Nationalgalerie (National Gallery Prize) in 2009.
